First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OhioHealth.
Manager
It was all virtual, with a bunch of interviews with different people over two weeks. Some people invited didn't even show up, and others were late. It wasn't the most efficient process, but it all worked out in the end.
- Can you tell me why you decided to work in this location?
- Describe a situation where your team had a conflict and how you managed it.
- Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently to resolve that team conflict?
Site Manager
The whole interview process took about 4 weeks, starting from the initial contact for a phone screen right up to when I got the rejection email. It started with a recruiter chat, then a meeting with the hiring manager, and finally a phone panel interview with the team, which was at 8am. The questions were mainly behavioral. They said they'd call me by the end of the week, but I heard nothing. I ended up calling the hiring manager two weeks later, and she mentioned I was still in the running and that she'd call me in 5 days. Seven days passed, and then I got a rejection email from her, saying my background was strong but they chose an internal candidate. So much for that. I also got a very generic rejection email from the recruiter I had been talking to the whole time.
- Can you share a "wow" moment from your experience?
- What would you consider your greatest accomplishment at your current company (X)?
- Could you describe your responsibilities at your current company (X)?
Manager
I talked to a recruiter first, then had a 45-minute phone interview. They really focused on core values and the balance scorecard. There were also straightforward situational questions about leadership styles. The on-site interview got pushed back about three weeks because of vacations and holidays. When I got there, it was 1:1 with physicians and upper management. Then there was a panel interview with all the other associates, grouped by job function. The whole on-site part took about 1.5 days.
