This felt more like a vibe check than a formal interview, making me suspect they might have already had a preferred candidate. It was mostly a conversation rather than a typical interview.

The office was nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The hiring manager was personable. The process lasted about an hour and I was told they would contact me within a week.

I applied through Ohio Cat’s site because applying through Indeed wasn’t easy. I got the call to interview a few days later. I had one interview and they told me I would be sent an offer letter by the end of the day. I received the offer letter before 5 pm. The interview was very laid back and I feel like the hiring manager wanted someone with a strong background but most importantly wanted someone who would work well with others.

Had a long in-person interview with the controller in their nice, new office. The vibe was friendly, though they're a bit old school with their job offer notification (letter, not email). It was probably the longest interview I've had in a while, about 90 minutes of talking about GL, Fixed Assets, and P&L.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Tell me about your familiarity with capitalizing fixed assets.
  • Can you explain the different depreciation methods?
