So I had a phone screen, then went in person for an interview in the city. They really dug into my experience and resume, looking for clear answers and asking follow-ups, especially for behavioral questions. Definitely helped to prep on the product and domain beforehand. They took about a week or two to get back with feedback, which was actually pretty constructive.

I applied through a website called Smart Recruiter. The first interview was with a recruiter on July 19th, 2023, where I shared information about my profile. The job description required 4+ years of agile delivery experience with Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, agile certifications (CSM, CSP, PMI's ACP, SAFe, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma), and 2+ years using Jira or Confluence. I have over ten years of agile and scrum experience and am certified in agile, with multiple awards. After applying, there was silence until August 11th, 2023, when I received an email stating they decided to go with a preferred candidate.

I applied online and the HR got back to me in 2 days for an initial call. We had some back and forth and eventually scheduled a time. On the day of the interview, the HR emailed about 30 minutes before to reschedule. She was late for the rescheduled time, and her tone wasn't very professional. It felt like she wasn't really listening and was just taking notes. There were many awkward silences, and she cut me off when I tried to say goodbye. She said I'd get feedback in a week, but she only replied a few days after my second follow-up email.

I applied online and heard back from the recruiter about three weeks later. The initial phone interview was 30 minutes and focused on behavioral questions. After that, I had an in-person interview on April 23, 2019. This involved the Team Lead in Toronto and the FIU Manager who joined via Skype. It was essentially a longer version of the phone interview, with a big emphasis on company culture. They really value culture over skills! I felt it went well and enjoyed talking with them, but I never got a response from OFX. I sent a follow-up email, but they didn't reply, even though they said candidates would be notified either way. It makes you question the culture when they can't even update candidates on their status. I was told the next step would be a one-on-one with the Director in Toronto.
