I applied with my resume and cover letter through the OSSE hiring fair platform. Then I was sent a performance task with 2 tasks to complete and submit via email to the hiring manager. After that, I had a one-hour virtual interview via Teams with a panel. Finally, HR offered me the position.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a pretty standard process. It started when I went to an online career fair. After that, I had some follow-up chats with recruiters. Then there were a couple of interview rounds, and one of them required me to prepare and present something beforehand.

I applied online and got an email a week later to set up a video interview for the next week since I am in California. They told me I would get a written assignment 30 minutes before the interview to address to the panel. I didn't get the assignment on time, it was 10 minutes late but they pushed the interview back 10 minutes. Then, there were technical difficulties. They couldn't hear me so they had the video on and I was on the phone. They asked me questions about how I handle time management with a lot of work. For example, how would I manage 5 deadlines in 1 day? This gave me a sense of what working there would be like. After the interview, they said they'd let me know by the end of the week. I followed up with an email and a call the next week but got no response. I kept calling and emailing for 2 weeks but was ignored. I finally got an email that the position was filled over 2 months later.

Behavioral Technical Case

This was for a Senior Advisor/Analyst position. Interview was standard with about 4 questions I've included below. The weird thing was no one was really nice if that makes sense. The person who would be the role's manager just seemed super intense, only one out of the three person panel would nod along or smile to responses. Also one of the questions was ridiculous but based on other reviews just goes to show what the culture is like. Like no I'm not answering the phone at 8pm to work on something due first thing in the morning??
