I went through 4 interviews over 3 weeks with this company. The hiring manager told me it shouldn't take that long to hire someone, but then said it would take another week to decide. Two weeks after my last interview, I still haven't heard back, even after sending a follow-up email. They clearly knew who they wanted to hire but still made me go through multiple interview rounds. While I don't mind not getting the job, I do care about the lack of communication after they invited me to interview with their team. No follow-up after several interviews made the whole process feel like a waste of my time. It's ironic because they talk about transparency in their hiring process on their website, which feels like a total joke given my experience.

I was called on a weekend by the hiring manager to set up an interview for the following Monday. The hiring manager asked me about my experience with Solidworks. When I got to the Windsor location, I waited a bit before the hiring manager had me sit at a computer. He gave me a drawing of a part with dimensions and asked me to create it in Solidworks, saying it was a basic part using fundamental Solidworks concepts. He emphasized knowing how to use the hole wizard and matching the part's dimensions exactly from the specified reference line or plane. He also mentioned that if you understand the basics of product design, the interview should be straightforward.

Technical Behavioral

A word of caution to those considering joining the SAP team or any IT team here. The organization lacks defined structures, policies, and pay scales for IT roles, with IT often being compared to and treated like manufacturing employees. Even HR appears to lack the expertise to hire IT talent. I suggest not gambling with your career; there's much more to say but it's not practical here. I hope this helps others. I declined the offer due to the significant miscommunication I experienced with HR before hiring.

A recruiter contacted me within two weeks of applying to schedule an interview. The first interview included the recruiter and the direct supervisor. Initially, the supervisor asked mostly technical questions and questions about my previous role and resume. The supervisor's questions covered: a brief introduction, coating types and their functions, more detailed technical questions relevant to the position, handling key clients, my understanding of the role, how past experiences (from studies and work) apply to the new job, and my 5-year career goals. The recruiter also asked questions (see below). Afterwards, there was a factory tour. The second meeting included the recruiter, the boss, and the upper-level manager. Questions focused on: a brief introduction, reasons for changing jobs, and salary expectations. There were no trick questions. HR asked typical questions to understand my reactions and behaviors in certain situations. The supervisors tried to gauge my past experience and suitability for the role. The upper-level manager asked some more critical questions to observe my reactions and the true reasons for my job change. Before the interviews, questions were always answered friendly via email and phone. The overall interview process was quite pleasant. The job offer came quickly.
