The process started with an online assessment, which was a pretty simple LeetCode medium question. This was followed by a phone interview, which was a general HR screening. Then came the technical interview. It began with a general 'tell me about yourself' question, and then moved on to a medium LeetCode question. I answered it very quickly because I was pretty familiar with it after grinding LeetCode for quite some time. I finished in about 10 minutes. The interviewer did not ask any questions about my code, didn't ask to optimize (I'm 99% sure it was the optimal solution), and didn't ask anything about my solution. I ended up just telling the runtime + space complexity and didn't really know what else to say. She then asked if I had any questions and ended the interview 30 minutes early. I received a rejection 2 days later. I'm not sure what happened and it's disappointing considering there was ample time for the interviewer to at least ask some questions to guide the interview if my solution was for some reason not optimal/if she wanted me to explain more/if there was any issue with my implementation. I got absolutely nothing but 'Looks great!'. No feedback at all either. Very confusing!

Technical Coding

I applied online and then got this 2-hour async Pad test, which was basically Notepad with problems. I had to test my code in my own IDE or an online interpreter. Then, a quick call with HR about salary, location, commute, what I know, and why I'm interested. The third step was a 45-minute interview: first 10 minutes on my experience, past projects, and company knowledge. Then 30 minutes for a technical question. The 2-hour assessment was okay, but the formatting could've been way better. The third technical question was super long and the desired output format was also lengthy, making it kinda hard to figure out. Overall, it was a good experience with the interviewers, but the formatting for the technical questions was just terrible.

So, the first step was this 2-hour online assessment that covered Frontend, Backend, SQL, and Database design. After that, there was a 15-30 minute behavioral interview with HR. Finally, a 2-hour technical interview with the tech lead, which also included some behavioral questions. The feedback wasn't super fast given how many people applied, but the overall process was smooth and I really enjoyed it.
