Partner Manager
I really prepped for this interview: had a good grasp of the role, Odoo tool, and partner functions. I answered all questions correctly. There were many basic questions, so I wouldn't call it a tough interview, but it was extremely unpleasant interaction-wise with HR. The conversation was very scripted, with standard questions about understanding the role, sales, and Odoo partners. When my answers covered multiple aspects of a topic, some questions were repeated, making it feel like my answers weren't really heard. The most problematic part was the recruiter's attitude, which I found cold and not very kind. At one point, while I had a notepad open on my laptop to take notes, I was interrupted mid-sentence with 'Are you reading your notes?', followed by a passive-aggressive comment implying I was, despite my negative response. In a video interview, this kind of remark is very uncomfortable and unnecessarily puts the candidate on the defensive. The interview continued in a tense and unpleasant atmosphere, which was even more surprising as I'd never encountered this before, even in demanding environments. It's a shame because the role and company are very attractive, but this experience significantly impacted my perception of the recruitment process.

Partner Manager
The hiring process has 3 main parts. First is a get-to-know-you chat with HR to get a feel for your background and why you're interested. Second, you'll meet with the Sales Manager for a business case and a demo simulation to check your sales and technical skills. Lastly, the final meeting is with the Country Manager Italy to dive deeper into strategic points and ensure you align with the company's direction.
- How would your colleagues describe you in 3 adjectives?
Partner Manager
I had my first interview with a recruiter which went well, and they told me about another opening for an Account Manager role and how it differed from the Partner Manager position. I decided to pursue the Account Manager role even though it seemed different from the job description. The next step involved two tests (logical and personal) taking about 1.5 hours, plus preparing a product demo. The interview focused solely on the demo, with questions about the product but not about relationship building or sales skills. Another Account Manager interviewer also clarified the role differences, which were again different from what the recruiter said and the job description. I received an email saying my reasoning wasn't aligned with the AM role, which I don't understand. The product demo task felt pointless as it's not part of the actual job, and the expectation to learn the entire software for it seemed like a waste of free time.
- Can you share your past work experience?
- What do you consider your main strengths and weaknesses?
- If you had to pick, what are 3 adjectives that best describe you?
