Behavioral Case Technical Presentation

Started with a virtual call to get to know each other better. They threw in a lot of hypothetical and simulation questions. Then there were two mock sales calls where I had to act like an employee pretending to be a prospect and figure out if they were a good fit for the software. I was also given a case study to write out the whole supply chain from material to the end user. Did a practice run on the software, making stuff they wanted me to make. It was okay, but definitely study the whole supply chain and be ready to talk about it. They said I had to do a pitch deck presentation but didn't end up doing it. The virtual meeting was supposed to be short intro, but it got more in depth so be ready. I talked to two people, one was professional and a bit serious, but the other was condescending and rude.

Behavioral Presentation Case

So I interviewed for the Sales Executive job a few weeks back. It was a 3-step thing: first, a quick chat with HR. Then, I had an interview with the Team Leader and Sales Executive where I had to do a product demo. I really put in the effort to nail the demo and understand the product, and they seemed to like it. They even mentioned they'd have another Outbound Sales Exec role opening up soon. The third stage was with the same Team Leader and Sales Exec again. This time, they gave me a scenario about a luxury boat company, asking about their target market and how to sell a product to them. Honestly, it felt like they hadn't even looked at my CV. My background is all software and finance, not luxury boats. They asked irrelevant questions, like about warehouse stock and fire extinguishers, which didn't make sense given my experience in apparel and footwear stock management. They also confused stakeholders with customers, which isn't quite right internationally. It was disappointing that they didn't seem to know what they were looking for or make an effort to understand my profile. The questions weren't relevant to my past experience or even the Odoo product. Sales interviews usually work better with STAR method scenarios to check soft skills. It felt like a waste of time and a bit disrespectful.

Case Behavioral Technical Presentation

Had three interviews. First was a video call with HR. Then two in person: one with the team lead and another with the head of sales. It might seem intimidating initially, but everyone was really nice and reassuring. The first in-person interview involved a standard case study where I had to explain the whole supply chain process, and also do a mock phone call. The second in-person interview included a pitch deck presentation, another mock phone call, and a walkthrough of the database using a simple case provided by the sales lead. I suggest getting a student free trial of odoo beforehand to get comfortable with the database. Knowing supply chain management inside and out is also crucial.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Walk me through the company's supply chain in detail, based on the scenario provided.
  • Perform a mock phone call.
  • Complete a database walkthrough.
