The interview process was quick. It started with a Zoom interview with HR, then the hiring manager, followed by a 2-hour onsite interview, and finally another interview with HR. They requested references but didn't contact them.

It was a pretty simple interview process overall. First, there was an HR call that was just for a basic introduction and some casual chatting. Then, there was a manager call where we just talked about my previous experience. Note that the manager call was conducted in Chinese.

The process began with a recruiter phone call where she was great at giving me info about the role and keeping me updated. She set up a call with the Hiring Manager (HM) for the next day. The HM call was 45 minutes, and she repeated a lot of what the recruiter said. She answered my questions about the territory's challenges and turnover honestly. She mentioned she had more interviews to finish by the end of the week. The recruiter followed up the next morning and let me know the HM chose someone else because they 'checked off all the boxes.' When I asked for feedback, the HM cited my current location and not being in an FRM role. I felt like I wasted my time prepping for this meeting since these were apparent criteria.

First, a recruiter from Touchpoint contacted me, and I had a phone interview with her. Then, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, I was flown from California to Orlando for an interview day. On the interview day, I first met with the hiring director and a consultant, and then I met with the VP of reimbursement. The interview day itself was a bit much, though. We candidates spent most of the day waiting in hotel banquet rooms without any refreshments. A granola bar would have been nice since I got there at 10:30 AM and they kept me until 4 PM. They kept saying it would just be a few minutes, so I didn't have time to grab a meal. The first in-person meeting was a 1-hour interview where we were expected to do a presentation on a scenario using PowerPoint.
