First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Octopus Energy.
Sales Lead
Really great recruitment process with personal support, clear expectations, and quick feedback. Beyond an in-depth discussion about the role itself (including a case study), what really impressed me was that they seem to genuinely be serious about ambitious growth, sustainable company goals, and a supportive work environment. This was particularly evident in the interactions with the HR Manager and how much my personality, values, and beliefs played a role in the conversations.
- Why are you a good fit for Octopus Energy?
- What makes you who you are as a person?
Sales Representative
It was a really nice conversation, held on equal footing. We clicked immediately and quickly got to the important stuff. This is exactly how I imagine a sales interview to be.
- Why do you want to work for Octopus Energy?
Sales Representative
The interview went really well. We started with a presentation of the company, then some questions about the company, a presentation of the job, and then job-related questions. The meeting was very welcoming. The company truly keeps its promises regarding inclusion. As a new mom, I was able to discuss my baby, and it was never an issue for them. On the contrary, it wasn't a barrier as I was selected for the next step in the recruitment process. They have ethical sales processes and a real desire to make a positive impact on ecology. I have nothing to say, it was flawless for me.
- What would you do if a colleague made racist or sexist remarks at work?
