First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Octopus Energy.
Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist
The process was really nice and clear, and everyone I spoke to was great. It was very smooth, and I understood the role well. I'm happy I took the offer.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Octopus Energy?
Talent Sourcer
It was a phone call, and the interview time got rescheduled an hour before to a few hours later. They were also 10 minutes late calling me, which added to the stress. There was a lot of background noise. They seemed rushed, giving off recruitment agency vibes rather than the culture I expected from their ads. I think phone interviews aren't great because you can't really show off your experience or see body language, so they don't know when you're done talking. They asked basic questions already on my CV that didn't allow for much elaboration.
- Which ATS platforms are you familiar with?
- Have you recruited for similar positions previously?
- What makes you interested in working at Octopus?
Tech Recruiter
Really quick interview process, the team seemed great and the office was nice! Started with a 15 min intro call, then a 30 min video call with the hiring manager, and then an onsite where I met more of the team. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming, it felt more like a chat than a strict interview. The whole thing from the first call to getting the offer took under 2 weeks.
