First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Octapharma Plasma.
Associate Center Director
You will interview with the Center Director or Regional Director. Expect to hear back within a week, unless they say differently. If interviews are done in the center, they will be based on what the center needs. Having previous experience in plasma donation facilities is a plus.
- Can you describe any projects you've initiated to enhance processes in your current role?
Application Support Analyst
The interview was pretty straightforward. The hiring manager chatted with me over a video call and asked a bunch of questions. We discussed the job duties, and I confirmed I could handle them all based on my past experience. He said the call went well and that I should expect to hear back in about a week about scheduling an in-person meeting with the team and HR. Sadly, I was ghosted, and my recruiter let me know Octapharma went with another candidate. Apparently, the manager thought I was wearing a T-shirt during our video call due to the camera framing. I told both him and my recruiter I was actually wearing a sweater and would dress in business casual for the office, but it seems the initial T-shirt assumption was enough to disqualify me.
- What would be your methods and approach for teaching and assisting users with CRM utilization?
Physician
The interview process included questions about my background and a medical assessment. I also had to present my credentials. The staff were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. The medical assessment was quick and manageable if you have the right knowledge.
- Can you tell me about your past work experiences and how they align with this position?
- Could you please present your credentials?
- How would you handle the medical assessment?
Phlebotomist
I applied to work at the West Covina place but they had me interview at the Santa Fe Springs spot instead. My interview was scheduled for 9 am, and I arrived at 8:50 am, but she wasn't ready until almost 10 am. The interview felt super unprofessional; she just read questions straight off a paper. Plus, people kept walking in and out of the room and interrupting her with their own questions while I was there. It made me want to leave.
- What is your understanding of respect?
- Do you have prior experience working with plasma?
- Can you describe how you would handle a situation with an upset customer who is unable to donate blood today?
