I wanted to like PromGirl but the interview felt like an interrogation, asking 'what can you do for us' instead of exploring if it was a good fit for both of us. I did a long task for them, and they still casually said they were looking at other people. I didn't feel like they valued my time or experience, like I was just one of many they were talking to.
- How would you define success in your role?
Digital Marketing Director
This was a super long interview process. They were always late with information and feedback, often taking several days or even a week longer than they said they would. This included scheduling too. I even had to follow up on the day of my interview because I still hadn't received the necessary information. It seemed like they didn't have a dedicated recruiter; someone from corporate communications was handling things and trying to set up interviews. The whole process was a mess. If they want to attract good candidates, they really need to improve how they treat people.
- What are your thoughts on our website(s)?
Communications Specialist
I submitted my resume online and then got an email to schedule an interview. I went to their office for a 2-on-1 interview with the head of Marketing and the head of the internship program. They were interviewing me for a Marketing internship role, but they ended up offering me a position in corporate communications because they thought I was a better fit there. It was a really good interview, they made me feel comfortable and not nervous at all.
- Can you walk me through your resume and previous experiences?
- What motivates your interest in joining our company?
- What specifically about this role appeals to you?
Operations
I submitted my application online and then got an email to schedule an interview. I then came into the office. The people there were very nice. They talked about what it's like to work at their company and then asked me some standard interview questions. I was pretty nervous and thought I didn't make a good impression, but I ended up getting an offer.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
