The interview process was long, with 8 rounds in total. While the interview rounds themselves were impressive, the HR team's handling of the process was not ideal. I initially stated my salary expectation and confirmed it was within their budget. However, after completing all the interview rounds, they returned to the initial salary discussion and attempted to negotiate a lower offer, which felt like a waste of time for both parties.

Coding Technical System Design Behavioral

The interview process included a Machine Coding round where I had to design an expense-sharing app. After that, there was a DS/Algo Round with a medium LC question. Then came a System Design Round focusing on a Low-Level Design Problem. The fourth round was a Managerial Round with an EM, asking about past experiences and some behavioral questions. I dropped off before the final round with the Director because I accepted another offer.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • How would you design an in-memory expense-sharing application?
  • Can you share an example of a disagreement you had with a manager or colleague?

Coding Technical System Design Behavioral

So there were 4 rounds in total. First was a machine coding round, they wanted a fully working solution with unit tests. Second was a DS&A round, it was a known medium problem. Third round was HLD + LLD, they asked me to code it but it was okay if it wasn't fully working. The last round was with the hiring manager where they asked behavioral questions and went deep into my current company.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • A standard system design question was asked.
  • A slightly harder version of a key value store question was presented.

Given n problem ideas and m tags, with problems having associated tags (2d array `tags` where `tags[i][j] = 1` if problem `i` has tag `j`) and preparation costs (array `cost` of length `n`), and knowing that each tag is covered by at least one problem, find the minimum cost to select problems that cover all `m` tags.
