It took about two months. Started with an intro call and then discussed my past work. The hiring manager was good. The next interview was a case study. I met with their leadership team after that, but then got ghosted by HR and the hiring manager.

Behavioral Case Technical

It all started with HR reaching out. The whole experience was smooth and organized. She gave me the lowdown on the job and walked me through the interview stages. For each step, she'd call first to give me the scoop on who I'd be talking to and what the round would be like, then follow up with an email. So I always knew what was coming. There were five rounds total, including an intro, a case study, and a chat with the Engineering Manager. Funnily enough, one person ended up handling 4 of the 5 rounds, which was awesome. She was super respectful and the discussions were so engaging and thought-provoking that I felt like I learned a ton after each one. Didn't get the job in the end, but that's no reason to complain about them or the company.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

The interview process was very streamlined and structured. They spent a good amount of time talking about what they expect and the role itself. A lot of emphasis was placed on structured thinking. There were several rounds: Round 1 was an online Zoom meeting discussing your past work and expectations for the role at observe.ai, essentially setting the stage for what they're looking for. Round 2 was another online Zoom meeting with an in-depth discussion about product management processes, your thoughts, and a detailed look at your current organization's thought process. Round 3 was in-office, with a current product manager, focusing on prioritization and solution frameworks. Round 4, also in-office, was about Machine Learning, covering prior work, challenges, solution identification, and success metrics. Round 5, in-office, was a technology discussion about ML deployment, success measures, and prioritization challenges. Round 6, in-office, was a product strategy discussion with the CEO, covering market fit, defining requirements, prioritization, and the overall product management and development process. Finally, Round 7 was an online Zoom meeting with a case study where you had to create and present a product brief based on an image, with detailed discussion on what to include, metrics, and your thought process.
