First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Object Computing.
Data Scientist
I had two interviews with 3 interviewers in total. I really liked the people I spoke with. After the interviews, I didn't hear anything back. I get that maybe they found someone who was a better fit, but it's pretty rude and unprofessional to just ghost someone. Even a simple 'We're not moving forward' would've been a nice gesture.
- Can you discuss your technical background and experience?
Software Engineer
Got a call from a recruiter and then pretty quickly had a phone screen and a first interview. Seemed promising, the tech and project looked good. Then a week passed. I followed up. They said it was still ongoing. Another week passed. Followed up again. They said I was still in consideration and things were moving. Another two weeks went by. Same response. After about 4 or 5 weeks, I told them I had another offer and asked if they were still hiring. They assured me they were and asked if I could do a round two interview the next business day. I agreed. But they never sent an invite or contacted me. I waited a few more days. By this point, I'd had enough and decided to pass, so I sent one last email asking about the long process and mixed signals. Finally, they sent a rejection email with excuses. It was a really bad experience, dragged out unprofessionally. If they don't respond meaningfully, assume the worst and move on.
- Can you explain dependency injection?
Client Partner
It was pretty straightforward. I met with the leadership team, and they talked about their growth plans. What was different this time, is that as an executive, I was asked for references, which was a first. After the initial chats and checking my references, things went quiet for a bit. I wish there'd been more updates.
- Could you describe your strategy for managing client accounts?
Full Stack Developer Intern
Had an initial chat about the OA and the job itself. The first interview wasn't too challenging. The interviewer was nice, and I was invited to a second round, but I turned it down because I had already accepted another offer.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Can you tell me about your Online Assessment (OA)?
- Can you tell me about the job?
