The hiring process was quite lengthy, with each stage taking about one to two weeks to complete. It started with a phone call with HR, followed by an in-person meeting with the hiring manager, who was very pleasant. After that, there was a phone call with the hiring manager's superior. This was already four weeks into the process, and it wasn't even the final step. I decided to withdraw my application because it was taking too long, and I didn't appreciate the interrogative interview style and sensed arrogance. As a top performer, I can easily find other opportunities.

I started with a computer literacy test from a third-party supplier, then had a phone screen with a recruiter. After that, I did a skills assessment with some case studies. Then there were a few phone interviews: one with the hiring regional manager, one with the Department Manager, and another with a different regional manager. The whole thing was mostly fine, except the recruiter accidentally sent me the hiring manager's questions instead of the case study form. The interview with the Departmental Manager was really unpleasant; she was quite aggressive and made it clear this job was very different from other consultant roles and that people who liked those jobs wouldn't fit here. That whole conversation was only 14 minutes. After that, I got a standard rejection email from the recruiter, and they never got back to me when I asked for feedback, even though other recruiters said they'd pass on the message.

Recruiter set up the interview process. The first interview was a phone screen with the regional manager, followed by an in-person meeting with the regional manager when he flew in from out of state. The third interview involved me flying to the company's HQ in Tampa, FL, for a face-to-face with the SVP, where I got an offer on the spot, and we negotiated the signed letter and start date for the next business day. I flew back to Tampa two weeks later for formal training and meetings that lasted about a week.

First, a recruiter will call you and you'll take some online tests. After that, there's an interview with the local manager. If you do well, you might get to speak with current Professional Employer Consultants (PECs) at the office. Finally, you'll have an interview with the Regional VP. It's a thorough process that includes background checks and several online tests.
