HR gave me a phone interview. A few weeks later, another HR person contacted me to do the phone interview again because the first interviewer had left. Then I had a second interview with the senior buyer. It went okay, but she asked me to do a quick Excel test while watching me, which made me uncomfortable and nervous. They didn't tell me about the test beforehand, which I thought was rude. After the interview, I got a generic email saying they chose another candidate. I'm glad I didn't get the job and wouldn't apply to this company again.

The interview was okay, my interviewer was good but very direct with asking questions. It felt like they were trying to move it along rather than get to know my skills. At the end they made up in their mind, that I didn't have as much experience to be trying for this "high" of a position (with 4 years experience)

Behavioral Case

I sent my resume and cover letter in the morning, and by that afternoon, I received a voicemail to set up an interview with the store manager. We scheduled it, and on the day, she took me out for coffee in the mall to conduct the interview. It was a really nice chat, nothing too out of the ordinary. She started by asking about my personality. Then there were standard questions about strengths, weaknesses, and some situational ones. The script she was using seemed really long and repetitive, which she even mentioned herself, but I felt we had a good connection. She even said I was intelligent and thoughtful. I asked about what happens next, and she said she'd set up a second round with the District/Regional Manager, but it would take a few weeks. It seemed like it ended well, but I never heard back after sending a thank you email and following up a couple of weeks later. While she was nice, the process felt a bit unprofessional and left me with a bad feeling in the end.

The interview process was great and really organized. Everyone on the team was positive and upbeat. It honestly couldn’t have gone any smoother. The room where we interviewed felt inviting and open. The team seemed to really work well together. I never felt like I was being rushed, and I felt like my skills were respected.
