Assistant Project Manager
Applied online with resume, cover letter, and portfolio. Got an interview scheduled after a week. Waited about a month to get the result after the interview.
- Can you elaborate on your previous work experience?
- Please discuss your portfolio.
Project Manager
It was a super straightforward process. I had one chat with Mary, and she ended up hiring me for Steve's team. She took a good look at my whole portfolio and some previous drawing sets I'd put together. We sorted out the offer details over email, and I started about a week later.
- What computer programs are you proficient with?
- Could you describe your experience in the retail sector?
Designer
The interview focused on my ability to use Revit, asking me to show them things I've built with it. I was upfront about being a recent graduate with Revit coursework but no work samples from it. One interviewer was very harsh, criticizing my Revit skills and drawings.
- What is your experience level with Revit?
Architect
We reviewed my portfolio together, discussing my background and strengths. Then, they scheduled a day for me to demonstrate my AutoCAD skills, which was sufficient for them to understand my capabilities and for me to showcase my presentation abilities.
- Do you have any experience creating detailed drawings?
