Applied online and heard back from HR the same day. They asked why I was leaving my current job, then set up a real interview. When I got there, everyone was nice. The interview had HR for personality questions, technical staff and project managers in the room, and a client on the phone. Seven people total. HR asked a lot about personality, teamwork, and working under stress. They really emphasized the long hours. Technical staff grilled me on understanding schematic diagrams. They first made sure I was comfortable navigating their system, saying I might not be, and once they confirmed I could move around, told me I could be on the same project for 20 years. After the interview, I waited about a week. They made an offer but low-balled me at $18/hr. I told them to reconsider, and after a few days, they came back with $21. Since the job description said $50,000, I turned it down.

HR called me about a job fair submission for a technical writer role. We had an initial chat where they asked general interview questions. Then, I met the hiring manager who dug deeper into my background and knowledge of the job. It was a pretty relaxed interview process.

First, HR met me and gave a tour of the place, they were really nice. Then HR asked some questions about how I'd handle things, not trying to trick me, just to see how I react and what I think. After that, I talked with the manager and one of the staff engineers. The manager explained the job really well, covering all its parts and how I might fit in. The staff engineer asked me a couple of technical questions to check if I had the right skills.

O'Neil & Associates found my resume on Monster.com and reached out directly. The HR person did some initial screening questions, got to know me, and answered my questions. We talked again the next day about the interview process, pay, benefits, and my past experience related to the job. The HR rep then scheduled me for a panel interview at the main office with 48 hours notice. It was with 5 people and lasted about an hour and a half. I got the job offer from HR within three days.
