Systems Engineer
The interview process was brief and relaxed. Some team activities felt unnecessary, like trying to gauge leadership potential in a 10-minute exercise which isn't very revealing.
- Can you tell me about your IT experience and what your career aspirations are in this area?
- What are your future goals in this field of work?
Intern
I applied through Summer of Tech. The first interview was a video call on Teams where they asked me some basic questions about what makes for good engineering and the 5 S's of Engineering. After that, I had to do a drug test, and then I received an offer.
- Could you define what constitutes good engineering?
- What are the 5 S's of Engineering?
Pilot
The interview process was pretty simple and direct, with questions that were easy to answer. You might need to ask for clarification because the recruiters might not be very familiar with the specific jobs you're interested in, especially since they might not even be from your branch of service.
- Why do you want to join the NZDF?
Asset Assessor
The interview was friendly, with several people there. They didn't ask a ton of questions, but it felt pretty chill. It kicked off with some personal questions, then they threw some problem-solving scenarios and challenges at me.
- Could you describe how one would go about mapping out asset management projects?
