they asked standard behavioral questions, a large portion of the interview focused on technical topics, and there seemed to be an expectation that candidates were already familiar with their internal platforms. This was surprising given that the position is an internship.

Technical

They only asked ten technical questions, there was no other conversation. It was almost robotic, they didn't have my resume or know anything about my work history or ask about my work history. Would have been better off just filling it in like a test in the lobby.

It was a Zoom interview, about 30 minutes long, for the Summer Internship focused on Research, Implementation, and Safety for Vision Zero and street improvement projects. The interviewers were nice, but the questions were tough and I felt a bit out of my depth. I got the sense my experience wasn't enough, or maybe I didn't present it well. They really care about specifics, so have details about past projects or assignments ready to go or to send over.

This was for SIM (Sidewalk Inspection and Management) and the process was quite smooth. I originally applied on August 3rd and got a brief screening call about a month after. My interview (only one round!) was scheduled a month later and was only 30 minutes long over Teams. I received a verbal offer over the phone a month after that.
