I had a panel interview with a director and two associates from the tenant resources department. It was on Zoom. I forgot to get their contact info to thank them, so I emailed the recruiter who told me they wanted to move forward and I didn't need it. She asked for three references. They contacted my references, and I got a conditional job offer on August 8th, 2021. The final offer and start date came after a background check that took about 1.5 months.

I got an email from Ms. Haque, who is a Staffing and Training Coordinator in the Division of Tenant Resources, about interviewing for the Abatement Coordinator job. After she gave me a time for the interview, she asked for three references before we even started. This felt weird because the department hadn't met me yet. Because of COVID-19, I'd lost touch with many of my references since our unit was laid off and people retired early. I told Ms. Haque this and asked if I could interview without references due to the circumstances, but she ghosted me. The job has been open for over a year, and I was ghosted when I interviewed last year too. It's really unfortunate.
