The interview itself was quick and efficient. The interviews were nice and they were accurate in terms of timelines, I think the downside of the process is that hiring takes over 6 months especially if you’ve worked for the city before. They have to call every agency about your work experience.

It was a great conversation. They answered all my questions and concerns and were very transparent and willing to answer any follow-up questions. I also had the chance to speak with someone who addressed all my concerns and questions about the position.

The interview was quick and smooth. First, you get a computer test where you have to type out how you'd handle job-related scenarios. After that, you meet with three supervisors from different roles or departments who will then rate your answers to their questions. Try your best to answer, keep eye contact, and don't pause for too long.

I applied for the program asst and Program assoc. Positions in the I-can reentry program for the DOC. I have a MPA and was asked by the Director to interview for the program asst. I thought the assoc. matched my qualifications more. On the morning of the interview I was there on time and waited about 20 mins to be told the Director called out sick so I met with 2 of her colleagues who made me feel like I should not have applied for the position, as if they were expecting more of an admin asst. I was insulted and felt like I wasted a Vacation day from work. Then I was told the Dir. will contact me to speak with me because she didn't get to meet me. That never happened. I even emailed her and no reply. So I decided to make a follow up call and she basically told me there were other more qualified candidates. Just the whole experience was a complete turn off. I wish people would be more professional and careful with wasting people's time! She could have at least gotten back to me after I reached out.
