The interview process was fast, I got an offer in less than a week. First I talked to the president, then I met the rest of the team. I had a good time talking to everyone; they were all really nice and chill.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. First, I had a screening interview with HR, who was really nice and asked about my work history. Then, I had a second interview over Zoom with the CCO of Creative/Marketing. They asked about my past work and how it fit the role. It went well, and I was invited for an in-person interview where I had to do a paid "design test" – which was a nice perk! I came back to the office to present my test. The CCO seemed to really like it, said I did a great job, and would get back to me next week. They mentioned the CEO/owner usually doesn't interview, but had recently decided to be more involved. Unfortunately, I never heard back after that, not even a quick note about the position.

The interview process was very unprofessional. They didn't seem to know what they were looking for or have a clear idea of the job requirements. I went through three rounds and even met the CEO for what I thought was the final interview. But after meeting me, the CEO decided he wanted to change the job description. They then took a month-long break and scheduled another interview for late July. After that, I spoke to the recruiter twice (it's now August) but never heard back from them. After all the time I invested, a rejection email would have been the least they could do.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • They are very strict on their weird amoeba culture and insist people have to be a believer.
  • They focused on not having any errors and a few questions surrounded this.

The person who scheduled the interview was cool about times, which was the only good part. I talked to a senior designer who acted super unprofessional and condescending. His questions were all over the place, and he barely asked about my past work or anything you'd expect in an interview. He didn't seem to put much effort into the chat, and it felt like he was new to interviewing. He was impatient and just had a bad vibe. He did have me do one skill test: changing a shirt color in a photo and adding text, but the directions were unclear, and he watched me the whole time.
