I had a phone interview with HR first, and then she set up an in person interview with the CEO. The second interview was a total waste of my time. The CEO just looked at my resume and assumed things about my capabilities and past experience instead of asking me questions. He seemed nice, but I left feeling insulted and annoyed because he decided I didn't have the experience he wanted (I have a sales background, but not in pharma or medical sales) and wasn't going to consider me, even though he mentioned his best Territory Manager came from Nordstrom. He didn't ask me anything; it was all his assumptions, and I had to interrupt him to correct him frequently. It was a really strange interview. HR didn't even bother to tell me I wasn't being considered, even though I knew it. But it's common courtesy to follow up when someone takes time off work for an interview.

I was contacted by a regional manager and asked to meet with the managing MD. I got there 10 mins early but waited over an hour to be acknowledged. Once acknowledged, staff moved me into an office where the doctor I was meeting with was eating lunch. He rudely reprimanded his staff for bringing me in and complained for another 10 mins. I excused myself - knew immediately it wasn't the company for me.

The interview process felt disorganized, with scheduled talks involving both executives and junior team members. This lack of structure hinted at what the role might be like. One executive promised to follow up via email for further discussion but never did. Meanwhile, the junior team members seemed inexperienced in conducting interviews.

I found the job on Indeed and then HR reached out to schedule a phone interview. I had two phone interviews and then they invited me in person. The in-person interview was really great, everyone was super nice and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me.
