This is not for one time. I got calls from Nvidia 3 times. Only once HR was kind enough to tell me the feedback. One time the position got cancelled after 5 rounds. Last time they scheduled the 4th round and before the interview they sent me a rejection mail. And HR was not picking up the phone. Now in India, most of the interviewers come from body shopping companies and joined Nvidia around the 2015–2016 timeframe. They don’t have proper experience. One interviewer blindly told me my multiple GPU boot process answer is wrong and childish where Nvidia only use this tech. As a FAANG engineer we are Nvidia’s customer and using this tech. Don’t take the interview seriously. Bcoz they are not serious at all.

Technical Behavioral Other

Normally, it starts with a series of phone interviews conducted first. If those results are satisfactory, then the candidate is invited for an onsite interview. The onsite interview had six 1-hr sessions. I met with four engineers of different levels and two management staff. Mostly, the questions are technical and relevant to the job, with a few interpersonal questions and a few brain teasers. The employer also used external services to audit my credentials (mainly college degree) and asked me to sign a waiver for that, though this was mostly not directly related to the hiring decision.

Technical Coding

2 Rounds on coding. Judge on the basis of analytic reasoning and thinking. I was asked about my profile switch. And also the team elaborate on its process for judging on how much i know by programming languages relevant to the role, like C/C++, Python, or Java. For systems positions, a strong grasp of C/C++ is often essential. Deep understanding of operating system internals, kernel development, and hardware-software interaction. Knowledge of CPU/GPU architecture, memory hierarchy, concurrency, and parallel computing.

Find a palindromic substring in the given string (I didn’t use Manacher’s algo but a brute-force method and the interviewer was okay with it).
