First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NVE Experience Agency.
Account Executive
I made it all the way to the third and final interview. The first two managers I talked to were nice, smart, and made me feel welcome. My last interview was over Zoom with two VPs. One of them was shuffling papers while I was talking. The other VP asked what she was doing with the papers (I guess it was my resume). She said her son has a nut allergy and she was reading his medical chart during my interview. I felt that was super disrespectful and honestly a bad look for the company, especially since she's a VP.
- What motivates your interest in this role and company?
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this position?
Production
After applying, I followed up a few weeks later. The next day, I got an email from a recruiter to set up a 30-min Zoom call with the Head of People and Community. The recruiter was on the call too, mostly to take notes, while I talked to the Head. It started with 'tell me about yourself and your background' and then moved into other questions about my experience. The Head also told me about open roles, how the company is set up, and salary ranges, before asking if I had any questions.
- Can you describe the budgets you've managed?
- What do you consider your greatest strengths?
- Tell me about a particularly challenging event you handled.
Production Coordinator
So I applied, and the same day a recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn to set up a 30-minute Zoom chat. A few days later, the recruiter was back to set up another interview, this time with the Producer I'd be working under. After that interview with the senior producer happened a week later, I got another message from a recruiter to schedule a call with the Head of Community and People. That's where they offered me the job and we talked about benefits.
- Can you tell me about the largest budget you've managed for an event?
- What do you consider your biggest weakness?
Corporate Strategy Communications Intern
After I applied, the team quickly emailed me to let me know I was moving on to a remote interview. It was a good chance to check out different parts of the job, and I liked how it was set up to show me different things about the role and company. The chat was cool and easy to follow, so I could talk about my past experiences and find out more about what the team values and aims for. I heard back within 1 to 2 weeks after the interview, which showed they're on top of things and good at keeping people updated. All in all, it was a smooth, organized, and really nice process.
- Could you tell us why you're interested in the Marketing and Strategy Intern position, and how this role aligns with your career goals?
