I met with the Territory Demo Manager for a question and answer session. After that, we went to a Petsmart where I was shown the product and given information about it. Then, I was shown around the store and given very detailed information on dog and cat food. She asked me about my availability, and I told her I was working a full-time job and could only work weekends, which was exactly what was needed for the job. I was then offered the job.

Submitted my application on Mars.com and it took about 2 weeks. Then I had an initial phone screening with an HR rep from the home office. After that, I was told I'd move to the next round, which was a secondary phone interview, lasting 1 hour, with the TN HR Manager. Following this, I was invited to an initial 1-1 interview scheduled with the DM within a week of the second phone interview. This interview was casual but intense, lasting about 90 minutes. Then, about 10 days later, I had a second face-to-face interview with a panel. This panel interview included questions about specific market trends, a resume walk-through, and a ground-level analysis of store operations and weaknesses. After that, there was a follow-up phone call with the direct-report manager. I heard back within 2 days after this last interview.

It took them ages to get back to me, seriously the slowest company ever. It was like, let's just meet again in like 2 months, type of interview. By the time they actually wanted to hire me, I already had other offers on the table. I answered a bunch of non-work related questions, did a test, and then answered more questions. When I didn't hear back, I just moved on. Out of nowhere, they called me back and I was dumb enough to take the job. They want to act like pros but they're really not. Expect them to be super nosey about you, your personal life, everything about you, and somewhere in there they might ask one or two actual interview questions. They also want to do a background check.

It started with an HR phone screen, then I met the direct hiring manager in person, and finally, I had a panel interview with HR and a senior manager.
