First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nutrisystem.
Digital Marketing Manager
I had a phone screen and then an interview. The next day after my interview, they told me they wanted to move me forward to the next round and I provided my availability for the next interview. While I was waiting to be scheduled for the next round, I got a phone call saying they were on a "very short timeline" and it was down to me and one other person and the position was filled. This is the first I heard of being on a short timeline, and the person I interviewed with said they had more people to interview and will get back to me by early next week. My interview was on a Thursday and by Wednesday the position was apparently filled. I don't believe they were being truthful about the situation and if they had someone already in mind for the role, I'm not sure why they had me waste my time interviewing to not even finish the process. Many companies have policies in place to ensure all candidates get the same treatment before a decision is made, but clearly this company isn't one of them and doesn't seem to care about having an equitable interview process.
- What makes you want to work for Nutrisystem?
Associate Creative Director
I got contacted by a recruiter from Nutrisystem about an open ACD position and applied. I went through 4 rounds of interviews with different people there. After each interview, the recruiter would call me to go over it. I kept getting great feedback from the interviewers. My final interview was supposed to be with the CEO, and I was told it was down to me and one other candidate. But the day before that interview, the recruiter called and said they were changing the scope of the position and wouldn't be interviewing anymore. The job, if it even existed, would be totally different. I asked if there was anything I could do, and they said there was no negative feedback, all positive. I was disappointed but figured that's how it goes. Two weeks later, the job was posted again with the exact same description. I had spent hours researching the company to prepare. When I emailed the recruiter, they said it was the same job but they were looking for someone with more DTC experience, which I have plenty of and discussed during the interviews. It felt like something else was going on, and I wasn't told the full story. If I wasn't the right fit, that's fine, but I didn't appreciate being told everything was great and then getting a generic rejection.
- Can you share a time you failed and how you recovered?

- What's your approach to collaborating with other departments?
Digital Marketing Coordinator
So I started with a quick phone screening, just to chat about my background, why I'm interested in this role, and what kind of salary I'm looking for. After that, I had a phone interview with my direct manager. They asked me some broad questions about the industry and general marketing knowledge. Then, I moved on to a Zoom interview with three people from the team. This one was more technical, focusing on how to set up marketing campaigns, target audiences, and what KPIs matter for a performance-driven company. The final round was also with three team members. It felt a bit more relaxed than the previous one, but we still covered campaign structure, audience targeting strategies, and KPIs.
- Considering a campaign's primary goal is performance, what KPI do you deem essential?
- What's your take on industry and marketing knowledge?
- Tell me about setting up marketing campaigns.
Senior UX Designer
I was first contacted by a recruiter, then had a phone screen with the hiring manager. Several weeks later, I went in for an onsite interview. About two weeks after that, they decided not to move forward. I didn't get any feedback on why. I suspect it might be a cultural fit issue, as it seemed like they were really looking for people who are into fitness. They also didn't ask about or have good answers for their current challenges or how the process was being developed, which made me feel like they weren't sure what they wanted or needed.
- Can you describe what your UX process would entail?
