So at Numerix, there were four rounds for the interview process. I talked to the team manager, HR, and a director. The interviewers were pretty professional and asked a good mix of technical and situational questions that were relevant to the job. The process between rounds was pretty quick, and I got updates right after each stage. But after all four rounds, I didn't get immediate feedback on whether I got the job or not. I had to reach out a couple of times before they let me know they decided to go with someone else. Overall, the interviews themselves were good and thorough, and the process was efficient, but they could have done a better job communicating the final decision.

It was 3 rounds total. First was HR, then Hiring Manager, and finally a Senior Interview Panel. The panel included C-level and VP-levels. The first round was behavioral, the second was behavioral and experience-based, and the third round was very technical.

I applied online and then had a pretty standard interview where they asked about my past work, what I want to do later on, and why I was interested in Numerix. About four weeks later, I got a standard, automated rejection email without any useful feedback. The communication was pretty bad and the overall experience wasn't great.

First, I had to introduce myself. Then, I was asked to explain options exotics and how they're priced. We also went into a lot of detail about Monte Carlo Simulation for Derivatives Pricing. After that, we talked about my past experiences and coursework that relate to the job. Lastly, I was asked why I wanted to work for this company and what I knew about their platform.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you explain how the Monte Carlo simulation works and describe the entire process for pricing options?
