Overall I was pleased that their interview process was very professional and organized. HR was wonderful at communicating and providing answers to all my questions before I had my in person interview. I appreciate that the interview was on time and job description/pay was very clear from the start. They made me feel comfortable and took the time to learn more about me and my work experience. I was also pleased to hear that there was room for growth. After my first interview I received an email a few days later about coming back for a 2nd interview. I was given a small project to complete and present. This presentation was great because I got to see how it would look and feel like to work with my future team.
- Can you handle multitasking and pressure?
- What are your career goals for the next year?
- Do you have prior experience in the Beauty sector?
Marketing Director
The interview process felt really organized and they knew what they were looking for. Mindy was great, very informative, and asked smart questions without it feeling like an interrogation. She managed the process well, keeping things moving and always communicating next steps without any delays. I met with the VP of Marketing multiple times offsite, and she was incredibly sharp and knowledgeable. I felt a good connection with her. It all went smoothly and naturally. I also talked to the VP of Sales, the President, and the Founder. Everyone was engaging and provided good insights. The last interview involved me presenting a 360-degree plan for launching a new product, while also ensuring support for existing core products.
- What motivates your interest in moving from your current industry to the Beauty device/skincare sector, and can you detail a project you were instrumental in and your role in its market launch?
- Could you describe a project you were deeply involved in, outlining your specific contribution to its market introduction?
CRM Manager
I went through 3 rounds of interviews for this role. First, I spoke with a recruiter who was pretty chill. Then, I had a chat with the hiring manager. The final round was a panel interview with a bunch of the team. It was a pretty laid-back, conversational vibe. Each person on the panel had their own set of questions they were supposed to ask, and then they'd just chat with me based on my answers.
- How would you describe your communication styles?
- What would you say are your weaknesses?
Director of Operations
So I went through 4 interviews over 4 weeks, and then after the 4th one, it was just silence. No follow-up, not even a rejection. I ended up calling them after 6 weeks, and they couldn't even give me an update on my application or tell me what the next steps were. Super unprofessional and honestly just humiliating.
- Can you share your background with start-ups?
- What's your experience with different distribution options?
- How have you managed operations within a family-owned business?
