Account Manager
So there was an HR phone call first. Then I had to do this homework assignment. It wasn't hard, just took a long time and was kind of tedious, like a few hours. You have to wait like 2 weeks to find out if you passed that part. If you do, they make you fill out another application, even though you already did when you first applied. Then you sign some forms, and they make you do a practice run of MS Teams, even if you know how to use it. The last step was a panel interview with the hiring managers. The recruiter was there too, but just kind of sat there quietly. All the questions came from the hiring managers. Honestly, the whole process felt like a lot, and the homework wasn't really necessary, just a big waste of time. It also felt unprofessional to drag someone through all that and then ghost them. A quick email update on the status would be the least they could do, especially after liking someone enough to get them to each stage. Show some basic curiosity, you know?
- Can you tell me what you know about the medical communications industry?
Account Manager
So after the first phone screen, I had a video interview with 4 people. On the day of the interview, the recruiter asked to reschedule the call which seemed a bit disorganized. One of the interviewers was wearing a hat backwards, which I thought was unprofessional. One person asked a single question, reading it off their screen and seemed unprepared. The interviewer leading the session also seemed uninspired, asking very generic questions. They didn't talk much about what they were looking for in a candidate or ask about me as a person. Given my 7+ years of experience, I was expecting more. To make it worse, the recruiter took nearly a month to follow up. I'd probably skip this company unless you're really in need of a job.
- Describe a time you dealt with a difficult client.
Account Manager
It was for an entry level MCT position. The interview process involved a phone chat, an offline writing test, and then an assessment day in person. The assessment day had team building stuff, a 2:1 interview, and another writing test.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult situation at work?
