It was a really straightforward interview. They wanted to know if I had any background in teaching or education and if I had previous experience working in my community. They also looked over my resume and asked about specific things that caught their eye.

The interview process began with an HR interview and a technical interview. The HR interview went well and was professional. The technical interview was straightforward but not a pleasant experience. The technical interviewer had an abrasive demeanor. I answered the questions, but the interviewer's way of clarifying my responses was off-putting. They didn't appreciate it when I asked for clarification. Additionally, the interviewer seemed eager to rush me through the process as fast as possible, making it feel like I was just another appointment. I'm not sure why management thought it was a good idea to have this person interact with candidates. This interview is definitely one of the worst I've had.

I applied online and did an initial screening interview for personality and to figure out which program I wanted to teach. That was pretty cool and the interviewer was professional. Then, I had a tech interview that covered stuff I'd need to know, but also a lot of stuff I wouldn't need based on what the first interviewer told me.

It was a fast 30-minute phone chat where we talked about my experience and strengths, and how they fit the job. It felt pretty relaxed and like a normal conversation.
