The hiring process involved some really challenging and interesting tests. I met with a good mix of current software employees and management. I felt like I answered about 75% of the questions well and left each interviewer feeling positive. I felt really good about the opportunity after leaving the interviews. HR followed up quickly and efficiently. I was super excited to accept the offer and join the team.

I had a couple of rounds of interviews before being called on-site at Carlsbad. They said they would reimburse the cost of my travel and accommodation. It has been more than 35 days that I am still waiting for my check. It cost a lot, last moment flight from East Coast to West Coast. One day I get a mail stating that my check has been approved, a few days later get an update that my check is still in pending state. Non responsive HR. Does not reply to emails and calls even after leaving multiple voice mails. Definitely no synchronization between the HR and the Accounts team. One of my worst experiences overall.

After submitting my resume, it took a few days to hear back. The recruiter mentioned they move 'quickly.' Subsequent calls with the recruiter and hiring manager required repeated reminders to schedule. I was later informed the 'hiring' manager wasn't my direct report. Even after three phone rounds, they couldn't explain the role clearly. I was then told about a panel interview. The panel members seemed unprepared and hadn't reviewed my resume, but they were nice. That's when I finally understood the expectations. I asked for feedback afterward but received no response. After another reminder, still nothing. This was a really poor experience, and I'm used to at least getting a standard rejection email.

The interview was very structured and straight to the point - mainly competency questions and tests. I was asked to work on several tasks that required not only experience, but logical and, perhaps, creative thinking. Very professional and prepared staff with extensive academic background.
