I had a phone interview with HR after the recruiter reached out. Next up would have been a technical interview with the IT manager and some senior software engineers.

It was a 3 phased process, starting with a phone interview, then a second phone interview, and then an in person interview. They asked canned questions, mostly behavioral questions like 'tell me about a time when you had to deal with an angry coworker'.

I was impressed by the interview process at Nsight. I thought they were very professional, although there were long delays between contacts. My hiring manager was nice, and I thought that I had good open communication with her. I had responded to a recruiter's email for a Network engineering Internship. I had two phone interviews. The first with a hiring manager, and the second with an engineering manager. The first interview went over background and behavioral questions. They said they would respond within three weeks, and returned contact after six weeks. I was asked to sign consent to a background check. They decided I would be a better fit for a different Engineer Co-op position. Given my school's system, I cannot fit a co-op into my schedule, but they were willing to make the position into a summer internship. The second interview asked technical questions, and explained the department I would be working in. After two weeks I was rejected. They said that they chose a candidate with more relevant experience. Still think highly of the company. I haven't interviewed much, and thought this was a good experience.

So first, you send in your resume and cover letter. Then, they'll call you for a phone interview. If that goes well, they set up an in-person interview at the place you wanna work. After they offer you the job, you gotta do a background check and a drug test before you can start for real.
