Behavioral Technical

It was an unpleasant, unfriendly, and uninformative interview experience. The recruiter wasn't very technical and had trouble identifying the specific position I applied for, even mixing up details like the name and location in follow-up emails, and the job titles kept changing. She also seemed unsure about the hybrid nature of the role. The technical call felt cold and impersonal, with the interviewer just repeating the job description. I didn't even know what company it was for. My recent experiences with recruiters have been abysmal, and these folks really need to improve. It felt like a waste of time, and I'd avoid them.

Behavioral

I did a bunch of paperwork in the hallway and talked to someone for about 15 minutes. They asked me some personal questions, but didn't really focus on my skills. Since I'd worked for them before, about 15 years ago, they wanted to get updated on my skills, but they didn't spend much time seeing if my skills matched any of their open positions since they're a staffing agency. They mentioned they often need freelance writers and project managers, and they seemed disappointed when I said I wasn't a project manager. Even so, they said they'd find me some work soon, but I never heard back.

It was a simple process. The manager asked me some questions, and then there was a Zoom meeting where I had to be presentable and audible. They started with simple questions before getting into the main interview.
