NSF Interview Questions
& Process

Got a response about 1.5 months after applying. The interview was on Zoom and lasted about 1.5 hours total. I met with 3 different groups, and they mostly asked the same types of questions. First, there was a 30-minute session with an admin member to go over general job info. Then, a panel of scientists talked to me for 30 minutes about my science background. Finally, a group of 5 admin people asked me about general workplace situations and scenarios for 30 minutes. It was a pretty chill interview, and even though it was long, it meant fewer follow-up interviews. The downside is that I followed up after a week, and they said they just finished interviewing everyone and would get back soon. It's been over a month with no word.

So the whole thing had two chats, one over the phone and then a meet-in-person with a group. The phone chat was pretty in-depth, a real back-and-forth covering both technical stuff and how I've managed things before, like behavior questions. I felt good about it, and it went longer than the 45 minutes they said it would. Then, the in-person interview was with a panel of three people in a small office. The setup was nice, a little round table, which made me feel pretty at ease. They hit me with about nine to eleven questions, mixing technical and management topics. I was really impressed with how NSF management handled my questions during the process. All in all, it was a solid information exchange, and it made me even more pumped about the possibility of working there.

An international contact reached out on LinkedIn. Then, a recruiter contacted me via WhatsApp to schedule an interview with the manager. The manager, new to his role, was concerned about retaining relationship and policy tasks (visibility) and assigning operational and spreadsheet tasks to the analyst. He mentioned I had been approved for the next and final stage. I didn't hear back for about 3 weeks, then received an automatic disqualification email. I already knew and felt it was a company (people) I didn't want to be part of, and the interviews confirmed it.

I Applied through Recuiter, Process took 1 week. I had Phone Screening with three members: 2 were technical, 1 was manager. They are mainly focusing on Performance Tool. They Need Answers In digits with example. To crack this interview u'll definetly need real time experience. I got good experience with interview.
