Had a phone interview and then a skype interview, the interviewer was really nice. They seemed to think that if you're genuinely interested in solar and ready to put in the work, you'll probably impress them. They asked me why I was into solar, if I could talk to people who might not want to talk to me, and what I'd read recently. Also asked about my five-year and ten-year goals.

Behavioral Other

I had two interviews. The first one was with an HR person who was really rude. He scrutinized my resume unprofessionally, making me feel bad instead of offering useful feedback. He was also fidgety and weird, creating a very awkward first impression. After that, I met with another HR woman (the first guy didn't show up), my potential manager, and someone from upper management. This second interview was much more laid-back. The people were nicer. They asked what they needed to know, and I got hired right away.

Behavioral Technical

The interview was pretty good. They asked me about myself and my past work in the solar industry. I was also asked if I could work odd hours if needed. Even though I applied for a designer role and everything up to the final interview was about design, they told me in the last interview that they didn't have an opening for a solar designer. Instead, they offered me a scheduler position with the possibility of moving around the company later. This felt a bit weird to me since the whole process was focused on design.

We had a quick chat about the job, my background, and how I'd approach it. It was a casual talk at a table. I did a short situational test, which wasn't hard. The office felt good, professional, and friendly. I noticed some other work happening, like phone sales and site reviews, which looked interesting. It seemed like a company in a growing field.
