First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NowThis.
Producer
It was a pretty standard interview process, mostly experience-based questions. There were several rounds with different team members, and then I had to make some pitches. This was to check out my process and see my reasoning when picking stories to cover and how I'd present them.
- Tell me about your process for selecting a story.
Office Coordinator
I applied online and then had a phone interview. The interviewer asked about my long term goals and then suggested a different role, but never followed up on it. I felt like this was a way to dismiss my application, which was rude and disappointing.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Director of Development
The recruiter handled most of the interview stages. The team is small but really involved in the interview process. The EIC is pretty young and asked a lot of questions about the industry and candidates that they should have known the answers to.
- What's one area where we could improve?
Associate Producer
The interview process was pretty easy and conversational. The recruiter was great at getting back to me. I talked to about three people in total. Some of my friends mentioned having more rounds, so the process might not be the same for everyone.
- Can you share a NowThis video that you particularly enjoyed?
