I interviewed for the Production Supervisor role at the Bloomingdale, Illinois production facility. The interview was conducted by two managers. One was nice, the other was clearly not engaged, which made for a bad experience. Neither seemed good at interviewing, and there was no HR person there. It was weird how some people get these jobs; I felt awkward because one manager seemed agitated, maybe like they were going through something. I took time out of my day to interview and offer my skills, but having to go through that badly run interview, with one manager acting like they didn't want to be there, was a poor example of leadership. The way that manager acted made me anxious, and I just wanted it to be over. Unsurprisingly, I didn't hear back, but I don't even care. The whole thing left such a bad impression that I won't buy your products and will tell people about this.

Started off pretty nice, very thorough, and even had an Emotional Intelligence test. They kept saying stuff like "conservative but inclusive," "do onto others," and that they have a servant leadership culture. But then the last "panel" interview was just plain weird and didn't match any of that culture talk. The questions felt like they were just read from a book, the panelists were off camera, and it included people who would be my direct reports, peers, and a top manager. It seems like the company reviews and the interview reviews are related.

The hiring manager seemed really down-to-earth. They asked me some situational questions about how I'd handle situations with operators not following rules. They also asked the typical questions like why I applied here and my career goals for the next few years. Something they said that stuck with me was that it's really a two-way street during interviews – you're interviewing them as much as they're interviewing you. We chatted casually on my way out. I sent a thank you email, and surprisingly, got an offer just 30 minutes later.

I applied a while back and got a call from HR in December for about a 30 min chat. Then, the next week, I had a 2-hour in-person interview with two quality managers at their facility. While there, I had to take three timed quizzes: one on math, one on quality defects, and one on catching errors. They also asked behavioral and technical questions. About a month later, I had another interview with the Quality Supervisor, where I was asked about the company and my leadership skills. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day, but he didn't seem very welcoming.
