Customer Support Specialist
I was first approached by NovoEd's HR recruiter through LinkedIn and was invited to speak about the role. I had a very good phone conversation elaborating on the opportunity and to see if there was a fit. I then forwarded my resume to the recruiter and was told to fill out an application and I would be receiving a link for my first interview. I completed the app online and scheduled the first interview with the CS team supervisor. I was then to schedule a second interview with the CS Manager. After that, I scheduled an interview with the last person, a CS rep on the team to talk about daily job duties and to basically lightly knowledge check me, it was a very relaxed conversation. After that, I then received instructions to make a mock knowledge base article and sent it back to the CS supervisor to review. After that, I had a meeting with the CS supervisor to talk about my mock kb article and to answer last questions. I had one last phone call to reiterate some things about the job with the HR recruiter. Two days later I received an offer. This interview process in my opinion was a bit drawn out, however, it was not difficult and most of my conversations were simply conversations and not a test of how I crack under pressure or anything. But since this company is owned by Fideily Investments, their process is definitely a bit rigorous, but for good reasons. This company has a lot to offer!

Software QA Tester
The interview started with a brief phone call that included a few basic trivia questions, none of which were complex. Following that, I completed a two-hour work sample where I had to manually test what I initially thought was a test version of their site but turned out to be the live site. I reported any bugs I found. The in-person interview mainly involved another hour of manual testing on their site, with no traditional interview questions. My overall impression was that I wasn't interested in working there, and they might have been more interested in getting some free QA work than in actually hiring someone.
- Can you explain the distinction between black-box and white-box testing?
Account Executive
The interview process felt really long and drawn out, with a lot of repetitive conversations that weren't needed. It kicked off when the VP of Sales contacted me on LinkedIn and told me to apply online. After that, HR got involved to set up meetings. HR was pretty good at responding and helping with scheduling, though sometimes the process was a bit tricky. They should maybe suggest times their team is free instead of asking me for my availability only to say those times don't work for them. I then spoke with some other team members. Some were impressive, but I had some real doubts about the qualifications of others, as a fair number seemed to have academic (high school) backgrounds. Following that, I was given just 24 hours' notice to prepare a value proposition presentation and do a mock sales call with a company that matched their buyer persona. They assessed how well I could create value, understand their product, and handle a sales call. After that, there were more interviews, some with people I'd already spoken to, and some new faces. The whole thing lasted about two months, and I was often canceled on with only 20-30 minutes' notice. Ultimately, I decided to withdraw my application.
- Could you describe your approach to generating new business?
Customer Success Manager
I applied on 03/15 and then connected with some people at the company on LinkedIn. The recruiter reached out on 04/02 via an automated message to set up a call with her. I scheduled it for 04/04 at 10 a.m. PDT and confirmed. She called at 10:30 a.m. – maybe she got the time wrong? After that initial call, I was told I'd hear back in a few days to schedule with the hiring manager. But I never got a call. I sent a thank you note right after the interview and followed up a week later about my application status, but no response. It all felt pretty unorganized.
- Can you walk me through your background?
