It was a typical screening interview with the hiring manager. The role really focused on leveraging data to back up business strategy. There were supposed to be multiple stages, but I didn't get past the initial screening.

I went through three rounds for a product research/design position at Novi Connect. I spoke with two designers, a product manager, and the design manager. The whole process took about two months because the design manager was slow to respond and there were delays. His communication was all over the place. Sometimes he'd say he was moving me forward, but then I wouldn't hear from him until I followed up. He even scheduled one interview at a time that didn't work with the availability I gave him. His communication and lack of follow-through made it seem like he didn't care about my time. After the last interview, I reached out again and never heard back. I followed up with the PM, who said she'd remind him to respond. Even then, I never heard from anyone. It's a bummer to go through multiple rounds and not get any closure, especially when they said they'd get back to me. Good communication and respect for people's time are pretty basic expectations, and that just wasn't here.

After completing an assignment, I was invited to a virtual meeting. It felt like an onsite interview, but mostly focused on non-technical aspects. I met with four team members before the technical part, which had three short rounds. The last interviewer seemed unprofessional, as they were chatting on Slack and not paying attention while asking questions, and I could hear Slack notifications. However, overall it was a good experience, and I really liked the CEO.

I met with the CEO twice. The first time was a general intro, covering company background and my experience. The second time, we demoed the product, and I was asked to review their investor memo and ask questions.
