First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Novaquest.
Call Center Agent
The interview was conducted online, was quick, and very pleasant. We were able to discuss all the benefits the company offers, the work hours, and the company's outlook. The interviewers were smiling and helpful, which made for a welcoming atmosphere.
- Could you please tell me your name, where you live, and why you are applying for this position?
- What is your name, where do you reside, and what motivates you to apply for this role?
- Tell me your name, your place of residence, and the reason you're applying for this job.
Intern
First, the recruiters introduced the company to the group since the interview was in a group setting. After that, they asked us to introduce ourselves with name, age, qualities, and defects... basic stuff. We finished the interview and she messaged me for a second interview.
- What is your name and age, and do you have experience?
- What are your qualities and defects?
- How would you feel about working at the company?
Pharmaceutical Sales Representative
They needed to hire someone very fast, so they considered candidates with and without prior experience. The District Manager seemed unable to handle pressure and didn't support reps he didn't like, sometimes promoting favored reps without merit. The work environment fluctuated based on client and product performance; it was relaxed when the product did well but became high-pressure if it underperformed. The only physical office location was the company's headquarters.
- Were you asked typical pharmaceutical sales questions?
Sales Representative
The interview went well. I mentioned my experience selling the top BPH product, which was the product they were hiring for. I was later told I interviewed well, but the job went to someone with BPH experience. I pointed out again that I had experience selling the #1 BPH product, as we had discussed. The conversation then ended. I suspect the job went to a former employee of the hiring manager, who might have had BPH experience. I was annoyed because my resume clearly stated my experience, we talked about it for an hour, and I reiterated it in my thank-you email, only to be told I didn't get the job due to lack of BPH experience. However, I did appreciate the hiring manager calling to let me know their decision within a week, rather than waiting months for a corporate letter or email.
- What products have you sold in the past?
- Can you outline your responsibilities in your most recent pharmaceutical role?
