First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Novak Francella.
Accountant
I went through 3 rounds of interviews, but then they ghosted me after I followed up twice. I even showed up for the final interview, but the higher-up only appeared on Zoom. I checked and the role was still listed and had never been reposted.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Payroll Compliance Auditor
The interview process was really comfortable. I started by talking with two managers for about 30 minutes each. They mainly asked about my current role and what was on my resume. After that, I had an interview with one of the partners, who asked pretty much the same things about my resume, plus a few questions about my personality. Both of these interviews lasted about 30 minutes. It's a good idea to have a lot of questions ready for them because a good chunk of the interview time was spent with them answering my questions.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
Payroll Auditor
I submitted an online application and was later emailed an invitation to schedule an interview. The interview itself took place on campus via the university. It was a pretty relaxed environment, and the interviewer seemed keen to learn more about me. After the interview, I was informed that I would receive a response within a week, which I did. This led to a second interview with the partners, and I was also given the flexibility to choose the date for this subsequent meeting.
- What are your aspirations for your career in the long run?
- Can you describe yourself?
Payroll Auditor
I went through two Skype interviews for the Payroll Auditor position. The first was with two middle managers, and the second was with the partner who oversees the Payroll Auditing department. The whole experience was pretty relaxed and informal. They had some prepared questions but also liked to chat about personal stuff and what we liked or disliked. It was one of the most comfortable interviews I've ever had.
- Is traveling a concern for you, given that this job requires some in-house work but most audits are done in the field?
