First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Novacare Rehabilitation.
Occupational Therapist
Had a quick phone call and then they set up an in-person shadowing with an interview that was about an hour long on a different day. They went over the job and what they expect, and asked me some clinical and interpersonal questions.
- What's your availability to start?
Patient Service Specialist
It was a quick and standard HR phone interview first, then an in-person interview. The in-person one was professional but also easy-going, they made me feel welcome. Since this role needs a lot of customer service, the interview focused on personality and if I'd be a good fit, and if I really want to help patients and work with the team.
- Why are you interested in this role?
- What aspects of your last job did you not like?
PSS
The interview process was typical. I had a phone interview first, and then I was invited for an in-person interview. I shadowed at a few different sites before deciding which location I preferred. Then I accepted the offer.
- Are you flexible about working different hours?
Patient Services Specialist
I was called in for an in-person interview and they mentioned two open positions. I expressed interest in the one that involved commuting between offices. The initial interview involved about 30 minutes of standard questions and some small talk. About a week later, I had a second interview with the manager of one of the facilities. This was more of a meeting with a brief tour and a detailed explanation of the job duties, with only a few questions. It seemed like I would get the job, but I had to meet with the manager of the second facility first. I did that a few days later and was offered the position, which I accepted.
- Can you explain the difference between a prescription and a referral?
