First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nova Ltd..
Hardware Engineer
Had a 45 min chat with the hiring manager. Asked some basic resume stuff and then got into technical questions about op amps, LDOs, mosfet drivers, transistors, and other core analog electronics. Did some white boarding too. It was a good overall experience.
- Can you tell me about the most challenging project you've been involved in?
- Could you detail the most complicated project you've worked on?
Manufacturing Engineer
I sent in my application online. The first few stages were with upper management and a senior engineer. After that, they invited me for 5 in-person interviews at their office. They changed one of the HR in-person interviews to an online one the day before it was scheduled. The HR person seemed rushed and wasn't very friendly. I was rejected, and they just sent a generic automated email without explaining why.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
QA Lead
It was a 90-minute face-to-face interview, pretty intense with questions coming one after another. The atmosphere was sort of positive aggressive, and the interviewer was impatient and impolite at times, even for an Israeli standard. I got interrupted a lot, which seemed excessive even though I know interviewers sometimes do that once they have their answer. It felt like maybe it's just the interviewer's personality since I wasn't rambling. Overall, it was a mediocre experience.
- Tell me about QA process improvements you've led.
- How would you go about testing a brand new feature?
- What are the key milestones for a software version?
Field Service Engineer
The interview process was pretty good and on time. They were responsive and organized, except the recruiter messed up by setting up interviews with the department head and company president, then canceling them shortly after without a call. I had three interviews: first with the FSE team lead, second with HR, and third with the FSE manager. The team lead asked some questions about having kids and marital status, which felt a bit off, but I think it was more cultural and to explain benefits rather than being malicious. The HR person knew the numbers and benefits well and mentioned that training usually happens in Israel but isn't happening for now. Even though I didn't get the job, I have a good impression of the company from the interview process.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a challenging troubleshooting scenario and detail the steps you took to fix it?
