Communicating was tricky, and getting times set up took a bunch of back-and-forth. There were long breaks between stages, and it wasn't always clear what was happening next. The interviews felt rushed, like they were just trying to get through them instead of really digging into what I know. It seemed like they were more about quickly screening people out than talking about industry knowledge. I expected a more professional chat given my experience in retirement plan administration. Basically, it felt like they didn't really value my time or that I'd prepared.

I had a phone interview with HR that was 15 minutes, then a 30 minute interview with a trainer, and finally a zoom interview with the team lead that was about an hour.

The interview process feels broken, lengthy, and bothersome. Since they have a distributed team, rather than setting up an interview with your direct manager or team lead, they make you interview with a different team leader and even higher-ups like a Retirement Consultant & Shareholder. The final step is an interview with your direct boss (who you might report to if hired), and if you get rejected, it feels like a waste of time. A more sensible approach would be to schedule an interview with your direct supervisor so that rejection can happen right at the beginning. All interviews are done virtually using SparkHire.

The interview process was way too long. The interviewer actually forgot about our scheduled interview for that day. I ended up waiting in a space that was supposed to be a lobby but wasn't really one. The role was advertised as a receptionist, but it turns out it's mostly heavy data entry and operator service work because no one actually comes in to be received.
