Recruiting Coordinator
Interview process moved fairly fast. Met with hiring manager and had a good conversation. They expressed that they thought joining this role might be on the junior side based on experience, however, it was not something that concerned me. Completed assignment and was scheduled for another round of interviews. Had conversations with another recruiter and coordinators for a live scheduling assignment. Shared a lot of how I was thinking and looking at the situation. Didn’t make it past this round and was told my thought process was unclear. However, the assignment and live problem solving were clear in my thought process. Apparently, the “talent bar” is set really high, even for some one that the team thought this role be too junior for.
- How do you build relationships with colleagues?
- How do you manage multiple competing priorities?
Senior Recruiter
The interview process felt pretty standard. It started with an initial chat, then moved to a deeper dive with the hiring manager. After that, there was an onsite interview, and finally, a last round with a co-founder. I actually got sick around my second interview round, and I really appreciated how empathetic Notion was about it. They were super understanding and even sent me a get-well gift. The interviews themselves were really conversational; I honestly didn't feel like I was being interviewed. I thought the questions were really thoughtful, and overall, I just felt really supported throughout the whole thing.

Recruiter
The interview process was very straightforward and dare I say, delightful! Interviewing is an excellent way to see a glimpse of a company's culture and how they operate. Are your interviewers fully present for the conversation? Or is it clear that they're juggling a million items and are just trying to "get through" the interview? I was most impressed with my Notion interview for the following reasons: -Conversations were thoughtful two-way dialogues -It was clear what topics I was being evaluated on and how it related to the role -There was transparency around the opportunity, the process, etc. -I received a gift card to order lunch (very nice touch)
- Could you describe the type of leader you aspire to be?
