Sales Representative
Software Engineer
There were 4 rounds total. First, a recruiter phone screen. Then, an interview with the hiring manager where I expected some technical questions. Next was a pair coding exercise. They provided a REST API beforehand, and I could prepare and do the coding during the interview itself, either as FE or BE. Finally, a behavioral interview.
- Can you describe your process for debugging a frontend React web application?
Webflow Developer
I applied online. First, there was a quick 15-minute call with HR. Then, I had a 30-minute call with the hiring manager. After that, there was a 45-minute call with three team members. Everyone I spoke to at the company seemed really nice. However, the team interview felt a bit unprofessional. One person didn't show up, and the other two were very new hires who couldn't answer a lot of my questions. It seems like they are going through some chaotic growth right now.
- Can you tell me about a project that didn't go as planned and how you handled it?
- What's your experience with SEO and how do you optimize a site?
- What is your process for migrating a website?
Notary Operations Specialist
They first have a short phone call with you where they ask about your background and why you want to join the company. After that, they send you an email with some questions and ask you to record yourself answering them on video to send back. Then, I was invited to their office in Crystal City, VA, to meet with two women and then their manager. The office space was unfinished. The manager emphasized that they have cameras and conduct all business remotely, with no in-person services. When I mentioned I take time to learn my role, one of the women responded, 'Good for you.' I felt this was a negative sign, indicating they might not be looking to hire me, especially since they seemed more focused on how they were found and if their website was helpful. The interviews were conducted in the waiting area, where others could overhear the conversations, which didn't make for the best experience.
- Can you describe how you handled a situation with a difficult customer?
- What motivated you to apply to our company?
- How did you learn about our company?
